What is the difference between Traditional Medicine and Holistic\/Functional Medicine?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
Traditional medicine primarily “treats”<\/em> diseases or injuries using drugs and surgery. This approach is necessary in many instances, particularly in emergency medicine where the immediate treatment of: heart attack, stroke, appendicitis, and traumatic injuries can be life saving. However, what about health conditions such as: Obesity, Type II Diabetes, Auto-immune Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), and Migraines. What about Female Hormone Related Conditions such as: Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS), Menopause, Pre-menopause, Ovarian Cysts, Fibrocystic Breasts, Endometriosis, and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
